Owned by Kiteboarding Asia out of Hua Hin and located north of Phuket on the way to Bangkok, the Kite Board Center has a full-range of kite boarding equipment for hourly and daily rentals and offers lessons on the northwest side of the island. Originally the owners started this company in Hua Hin in 2001.

There are a couple of kite board businesses around Thailand, but the Kite Board Center sets itself apart with better facilities, more qualified and better experienced instructors and trainers as well as better gear. On TripAdvisor they have a positive rating with forty-seven reviews and a 4.4 star out of 5-stars.

If you’re keen on learning, they offer 1 to 4-day kite boarding training courses or even just a refresher to bring you back up to speed. In addition to regular lessons, they offer training for professional instructor or trainer certifications, if you’re considering this as a career focus.

Not only can you get lessons and training here, but they also have a large store stocked with kite surfing gear at their main office and some of their satellite locations. You can find kite boards, kite board harnesses, kites of different design, wet suits and swimming suits, beach clothing and, as a bonus for when you’re finished, hammocks.

If you’re looking for the perfect time to come to Thailand to try kite boarding: November to May has certainly the ideal weather for beginners to learn the sport. During the other months, the waves are typically too large and the wind too strong.

The Kite Board Center is found right in Nai Yang Beach Resort and Spa, next to Sirinat National Park in Nai Yang Beach. This is located in northwest Phuket very close to the Phuket International Airport (HKT). They also have a location out at Chalong Beach in Phuket, on the other side of the island – the very southeast tip. If you are also traveling to other areas of Thailand, you should know Kiteboarding Asia has locations in the following cities: Hua Hin, Krabi, Koh Samui, Koh Chang, Pranburi, Pattaya and Koh Phangan.
